Japanese 1 beginner question - how to type kanji?

This is probably a really basic question, sorry…

I have learnt some phrases that I think use some kanji instead of hiragana, for example 調子はどう? (chōshi wa dō?`)

I’m mainly using the Android app but also sometimes the desktop site, and I’m wondering how I type the above on a keyboard? So far I have been typing the romaji and it converts to the hiragana, but I can’t work out how to type the kanji.

I have the same problem.
Although I am typing from windows and the IME system sometime converts hiragana to kanji, it certainly does not cover the extend of the Japanese lessons here in memrise.
Unfortunately this is holding me back too since I cant find lessons yet that contain only shiragana.
So I am waiting eagerly for a reply to this post.

Hi, for some that I couldn’t work out the hiragana sequence to get the kanji I have been using a Kana to Kanji converter to learn what I need to type:

Hopefully you find this helpful too

Some IMEs, I believe, use space bar to convert hiragana to kanji (keep press space bar to cycle through the kanji with a given reading).

Yes, at the time the kanji I was looking for did not come up in the list at
all. I’m using Google IME now with no issues.
