Issue displaying kana on Japanese vocabulary course in the Memrise app

Hello everyone, I sincerely apologize if this has been asked before, but I have not been able to find any help searching online.

I use the app to study Japanese, and it has been really helpful. However, I want to make my own course of Japanese vocabulary in addition to studying some the lists on Memrise.

I am having an issue with displaying kana and kanji on the same card though. I would like to be tested on the word’s kanji, prompted with English, and then have the kana display afterwards. I think I have seen this in other tests, but no matter what options I press in the Dashboard, I cannot get Memrise cards to display kana ever, short of displaying kana instead of the kanji.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried:
first text colum if marked always show and show after tests; the first always show column will displays after test

Thank you for your help.

After I selected “always show” and “show after tests” and then logging out and in to the app, the kana finally started to showing up after tests.
I thought I had tried that, but apparently I didn’t do it right the first time.
