Hope i can tell this as clear as possible and hope this is the right topic ^^
I’m on lesson 1 Japanese, using the android app with main language set as Turkish, and just started learning hiragana.
The thing is, in the audio section, it gives me the sound of a Japanese character, for example ‘ko’; but the options that i should choose from are still in Latin alphabet: like ‘ko, ni, wa’. Makes no sense, right? I should be choosing amongst the Japanese characters if i am to learn what character makes the ‘ko’ sound in Japanese. This is the same way with all kind of audio practices.
I hope someone can fix it cause i really enjoyed the app. Thanks in advance!
Are you talking about the Memrise course or a course from someone else. You need to give us a link to the course you mean. This a little unclear at this point.
Yes, ofcourse it’s Memrise. I’m using the app with android, also my main language is Turkish, so the app itself is in Turkish and it teaches the languages through Turkish. Sorry if my choice of words made it unclear, anything else that i should clarify?

I see. It looks okay from my end so it must be a bug. We however have an updated version of this course with more fluent content and full coverage of the text. I would personally recommend you start the updated Japanese courses you can find here: http://www.memrise.com/course/1389231/japonca-1/
I’ve tried the link you sent and it’s still the same. I mean this is not a major problem, other type of practices are also good but this one is really bugging It just doesn’t make sense for me to type in the sound in Latin letters while trying to learn Japanese. Anyhow, i’ll keep track with the app updates and hope to see this bug fixed. Thank you very much!
