I’m on Android learning french and there’s just not a keyboard for me. I’ve used this on pc and there’s always a keyboard. I have the special characters I can’t type and this strange button that just rights the word for me. Ive heard of having a globe icon to bring the keyboard up but I have nothing on my screen that I can tell. I’m still able to practice but it’s a bit disappointing. Thanks

There should be a keyboard icon on the top right of your screen, this will bring up your device’s keyboard.
You can also bring it up by tapping somewhere in the text entry area.
Or are you talking about the predefined “letter buttons” that allow you to enter stuff without accessing your device’s keyboard? These are set by the course creator, so you can’t do much about them. You could, however, try to write to the course’s creator by tagging her/him the way I did here in the first paragraph.
Note that not every user has their own forum account, so you might not be able to establish contact there.
You could post a link to the course in question (always helps!), assuming this is about a particular course.

On the Android app there is a keyboard symbol top right.
This will bring the phone keyboard up.
