Is there a way to vary review / tests on desktop

Is there a way to vary the tests/reviews on the
desktop? Right now, I am only ever prompted in English and enter
simplified characters.

When doing a general review on the OSX app, I get the following variations:

  1. English -> enter Chinese
  2. English -> select answer from list
  3. Chinese -> select audio
  4. Chinese -> select translation
  5. Chinese audio -> select translation

Is is possible to review like this on the desktop? (And if so, do I need to configure my course in a different way?)

just an idea: you could create copy levels and change/vary the testing direction

i’ve made that topic for announcing new courses - searching for courses on memrise is such a difficult job…

You can use userscripts to do some things.
