I usually listen to music while I review vocab.
I would prefer not to have this music interrupted with random German words 
.
I am using the web version of Memrise on a Mac with Chrome.
I don’t know if Memrise has a way or not, but you can just turn the sound off on your computer if they don’t. Then click the icon on your tool bar when you want sound again.
