I’m working my way through introductory french and I’m on a grammerbot challenge called Asking Questions that teaching how to form questions and how to use est-ce que. However I’m stuck on the last question. The challenge wants me to form a sentence about au foot and rugby but it doesn’t use est-ce que. It’s very unclear what the challenge is asking from me and when I fail i’m given a generic prompt about how to use est-ce que which isn’t helpful at all for the last question.
Quelqu’un aide.
I just joined this forum to ask exactly the same question!
Isn’t it really frustrating when it tells you about est-ce que even though its got nothing to do with est-ce que?
I am also stuck on this same question to do with rugby and football. I have tried many combinations all ending with a “?” but I get a generic response about don’t forget the “?”. I can’t get past this one.
I’m stuck to on a similar issue but in the Let’s Review Grammarbot challenge. I don’t know how to answer is it time? in french because it didn’t teach me anywhere to use anything other than est-ce que to ask a question and the choices they provided doesnt have est-ce que in them…
and when I answer it wrong, it just moves on to the next question…
I wish they could at least give me a hint of how I got it wrong.
I don’t want to not know why I got it wrong
It’s really frustrating…
is it time?
est-ce
est
c’est
qu’il
temps
I think I’ve tried all the combinations.
Sometimes but not always you need a space between y of rugby and the question mark… rugby ? instead of rugy?
