I think:
The original is perhaps someone asking for coins as change (cash).
But it should really be “Only change please”
Sounds like an on-line dictionary translation.
You’re quite right, it’s someone being told to change trains.
“Italian 1” has a lady saying “Tieni” which was translated “Keep” but it can also mean “hold” (as in hold this).
On community courses people have tried to either include all possibilities or clarify which meaning is required.
