The course overview in the iOS app does not consider ignored words in the total words to learn for a course so the value is to high. The progress bar seems to consider them however. In the web version the total number of words considers the ignored words.
This has been an issue in the iOS app for a long time, I’ve also reported it earlier.

Thank you for reporting this. We’ve been able to reproduce this issue too.
We’ve now raised this bug to our developers (internal code QA-759), so they can begin looking into what is causing the issue. I’m afraid I don’t have a timeline for how long this will take, but please do look out for future updates
