I would like to be added as a contributor to German Quickly

Dear @Lien,
I have been using Memrise to practice my German vocabulary in my university course. We are using the textbook German Quickly. Someone named constant2m created a course in Memrise that is called German Quickly. That is the course in Memrise that I have been using.

It has been extremely helpful for me to use this memrise course, so I became a paid member; however, there are some vocabulary words missing from the memrise course. Is it possible to add me as a contributor so that I can add in the missing vocabulary words? Also, there are a few mistakes I could correct so that memrise matches the textbook.

I would like to know your advice about something else as well. The course I’m taking is “Theological German,” so it has some specialized vocabulary that I need to know; this also means that I don’t really need to learn words like refrigerator or taxi. Should I try to create my own course for these new words?

Thanks very much.
Sincerely,
Robert Costello

Hi Robert,

Such a pleasure to hear about your learning experience.
Excellent score by the way. you’ll overtake me in no time at this rate! Another great reason to brush up on my Spanish

‘German Quickly’'s creator appears to be no longer active although the course has a few contributors already.
Out of 5 contributors, @Rcarrera is the only one registered on the forum.
As you’re one of the current most active learners of this course, I hope @Rcarrera doesn’t mind that I’ve added you as a fellow contributor.
However, if this happens to interfere with anyone’s performance: please inform me via this thread (public), or privately via direct message or email [email protected]

@Robert_Costello99 Please be respectful of your co-learners by preserving as much of the original version as possible. Here’s how to edit existing entries.

Regarding your other question, you can use the ‘ignore’ option to skip any irrelevant items.

I hope that’s helpful?

All the best with your studies, I hope you have boundless fun whilst gaining empowering knowledge!

Have a nice weekend,

Lien

“Theological German” Level 1:
OT (adj) - alttestmentlich → alttestamentlich !

The abbreviation for the adjective “alttestamentlich” is “alttest.”

The abbreviation for the expression “Altes Testament” is “A.T.” Duden | A. T. | Rechtschreibung, Bedeutung, Definition, Herkunft

There is also the term “alttestamentarisch”. Details can be found here:

I am sorry, but I am not a contributor for Theological German. I am only a contributor for the course German Quickly written by April Wilson.
