I’ve tried this on the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer, and on Speed Review, I keep getting an error saying “We’re sorry, there was an error. The Memrise team have been notified and are getting on it”. The kicker is, there doesn’t seem to be anything breaking at all, my progress is saved and the review seems to function fine apart from this annoying popup. Anyone else experiencing this? Regular review works fine so far.
Hey @C_5
A screenshot of the console messages would be really helpful in trying to pinpoint the issue.
For Chrome
- Open Chrome and start a listening skills session.
- Go to the Chrome menu at the top-right of your browser window, then select Tools > Developer Tools.
- In the chrome developer tools make sure the “Console” tab is clicked
- Try Speed review until you get the error
- Take a screenshot of your whole browser window, making sure to catch the error message(s) and send it to us
We can look further into the issue as soon as we get the screenshot
*if you’re using any browser other than chrome and are unsure of how to get the console up, let me know so I can provide the steps.
speed review does not funtion at all anymore… the red goes up and stays there, words reviewed are not registered, points not registered. It is simply not working
Hi @BeaTrisy
Here is the screenshot of the console on Chrome when the error triggers. It is worth noting I am running a script to change the font in Japanese, and another one that changes how regular reviews (as in, not speed reviews) look, but even when I do the speed reviews on Firefox or Internet Explorer (which I don’t have any scripts on), this error occurs.
Thanks for the info, it’s helped us pinpoint where the issue is. We’re currently looking into it, and will release a fix shortly.
Just want to say that I have this problem too!
The same thing is happening to me, but I’m not getting an error message.
I also have the same problem.
