I am using a Dell laptop and am trying to edit a course on Memrise. However every time I go to the website it launching app.memrise, which is extremely frustrating and makes me unable to use certain Memrise features. How can I force Memrise to use the regular website?
After all the updates last 2-3 years (which were rolled out after trying to do some splits with Decks before) I don’t think there is any “normal website” left for all the specific course features (edit, learn, review).
Sorry, I’m not a course editor so I can’t compare available features.
The classic (not “new experience” / early access) website always forwards to the app subdomain - where the community courses are.
There ALL the Api stuff was moved into, to my understanding.
A while ago a Memrise staff member posted an explanatory comment or thread about this; not sure how I can find it again.
Don’t be confused.
Their app subdomain has surely nothing to do with exclusive mobile compact website or mobile app stuff
(the much older website code was restricted for a Pc desktop site view).
But rather is exclusive with their tidied and restructured course module code to offer all the access course functions.
Can’t describe it any better in my non-native language.
Feel free to correct me if it is any different.
What course editor features are you missing?
Maybe they got removed with one of the web code updates (what they’re now calling “classic” website).
