How to put the Target language on both sides of the card?

I want to make a vocab list for practicing antonyms and synonyms. How can I make a course with the target language on both sides of the card?

I don’t think there is a way of achieving that. Here is an example of one that someone has tried but I don’t think it’s what you are aiming for: Vocab 1 synonyms and antonyms - Memrise

One way might be to use different levels. For example, in Level 1 have ‘word’ paired with its ‘antonym’ and in Level 2 have (the same) ‘word’ paired with its ‘synonym’. You could try experimenting with a third column or an attribute to show the relevant antonym or synonym in the appropraite Level but I haven’t tried that to see what’s possible.

Others may be able to suggest better solutions/workarounds.

Good luck!

I made a monolingual French course (for myself) and it allowed me to do “French for French speakers”. image|683x81

I could make both sides French : image

I do have my Memrise language in French, so I don’t know if that allows me to do it, but you can try making yours in whatever language you’re learning.

Hi @phoque and welcome to the forum,

Yes, that’s a good point. Similar to yours, the example course that I linked to in my earlier post is an “English for English speakers course”.

I may have misunderstood nunuvyurbidniz’s question. I thought it was asking how to have both the antonym and the synonym showing for the subject word (as a single item).

Oh, that makes sense. I kept re-reading the question, but I guess my interpretation is quite off. Your answer is the best solution I believe. Thank you for telling me @alanh

Hi @nunuvyurbidniz,

here’s an example that i think might help.Screenshot 2021-01-26 at 11.40.23 AM

You see the first line asks for the word in what word you are trying to teach, with your problem the antonym or synonym should be in the first blank and the second on the meaning of the word.
I made a fake course to show an example, Screenshot 2021-01-26 at 11.46.07 AM

It’s learning English from English and the first blank asks for the word you are teaching then the meaning.
Hopefully this helped.
