How to find good French courses?

Searching for good GCSE French courses is not simple.
I tried the search function, but the results seem to ignore most of the words I put in the search box and rather show me all available French courses ranked by the number of users learning them.

This makes good French courses which have just 1 learner (the creator) practically invisible.
For instance I myself created a better AQA GCSE French 9-1 specification vocabulary course than the current popular course (created by Luftschloss). My course has good audio recordings for every word, plus I put (where appropriate) alternative words to be accepted as solution, too.

However, nobody will ever find my course, while the course by Luftschloss is the most popular one, which will remain like this, because the more people learn a course, the further up it will be listed if people search for a french GCSE course.

I tried to find my own course, but the results never reveal my course.
Does anybody know how to improve a search request? And is the search box actually a reported bug? Really, if I search AQA GCSE French 9-1, I get a lot of other courses in the resulting list that have nothing to do with GCSE or AQA or 9-1.

Got a course. Is this correct?

Thank you for this. However, this looks like the old French Specification (A*-G).

I meanwhile created my own AQA GCSE New French 9-1 Specification

Is anybody interested?

Ah. I See. And Yes

I don’t have GCSE specific courses, but I have some for the ILR 3 level DLPT that I have been successful using.

@Joe_ProBro Could paste a link to your French course in your original post?

You’re absolutely right about the search function on the Memrise course website being rather poor.

And the listing algorithm does indeed favour older courses that have already accumulated large numbers of subscribers over several years.

I think this is the course:

@Joe_ProBro, I wonder why you didn’t attach the link to your course .

Some general comments.

There are several community AQA GCSE French courses based on this 9-1 (2016) syllabus, which is still the current syllabus.

I’m planning on learning some French next year, and plan to find and use the community AQA GCSE French course with the fewest errors - I’ll plan on getting myself added as a contributor and fix any errors.

Alternatively, I’ll create my own version, if that looks like a more efficient way to obtain an accurate course.
