How to find all courses I have started and later quit?

I would like to be able to find a list of all the courses I have started and quit prior to completing. I tried re-starting courses I think I have left mid-course but they all show that I have no progress in that course. It could be that my memory is faulty (again). I have tried searching for how to do this but have no luck doing so.

[The courses “state”, on quitting, that the course may be re-started at that point at a future date. But I have not yet found one of my uncompleted courses that shows my past progress.]

Am I missing something obvious here? Or is this not really possible? Thanks.

If you select restart you will wipe all progress in that course, a “Are you sure” popup is displayed to inform/warn you about that when you select restart.
To continue where you left off you just click start learning as you would on a new course.

Yes, ‘quit’ and ‘restart’ are treated differently regarding progress retention. There’s an explanation in the Knowledge Base.

Sadly, there’s no quick way to find those courses you quit. It’s a good idea to keep a note of the url of any course you quit in case you may want to return at some future point. Failing that, it’s necessary to search through the course index again. :anguished:

There was some earlier discussion of this: Finding all the courses I quit?

Good luck!

I have not ever selected re-start. (Yet) I have quit a few courses over the years and may, in the future, wish to re-continue some of those courses. Either the courses have not saved my progress when quit or I am mis-remembering which courses I originally tried. Is there a way to get a list of courses I have started and left sometime and some progress later? Thanks.

Hi, it depends what you mean by “quit”. (Stopped or hit the ‘quit’ button on your ‘recently leant’ list).

Also if you are on the web or an app.

Besides the good advice given above, the only thing I can suggest is if you know the subject or a key word (like ‘trees’ or ‘clouds’) then search by that and see if you remember the course icon - I usually do.
Then the course description may also be familiar.

Hey @pfs32 It can be difficult finding a previously-quit course. Just yesterday I quit a number of courses because I was running too many and spent way too much time watering. Before quitting them, I put the names of them in a spreadsheet with links to the courses. If I do decide to go back to any of them later on - it will be easy to do so. I know that doesn’t help you right now, but you might keep that in mind for the future.

Thanks. Maybe someday, I will learn to think ahead like that.

I’d look in my browser history. And then for easy browsing, in Firefox, and perhaps in other browsers too, you can display it “By Date and Site.”
