As a course contributor (and the current primary maintainer), is there any way to contact other contributors to the course to find out who’s doing what if they haven’t joined the community site? (If they have I can send them a PM obviously). If not is there any other way I can find out who last changed an entry?

I think your best bet would be to tag Lien with a link to the course and the usernames of your co-contributors and ask her to invite them here to the forum. If you don’t have all the usernames, Lien should be able to identify them from the course title.
You could also give Lien a link to the course forum so she can include it in the email she sends to the contributors.
