Also, how do you know how many words without adding?
Hi @Casper_duo,
You canât. If the course title or description doesnât mention audio, the only way is to add the course and then âlearnâ the first word. Then pause, save and exit, and return to the course homepage. Then you will be able to see how many words are in the course, and the âoptionsâ button which allows you to preview the course content.
If you donât like what you see, itâs easy to âquitâ the course, which will remove it from your dashboard.
I agree with AlanH but it is worth pointing out that some courses actually say in the title or the description how many words and if they have audio and ân/tâ (No Typing).
If the course has one level then you do know how many words, and if it has several levels (and it will tell you) then usually each level has the same number of words, so a quick multiplication will tell you how many words in the course.
PS Some people even add a musical note to the course icon if there is audio.
@alanh Weird that such basic information is not provided for so many courses.
I end up quitting half of them just because they usually donât have audio.
Thank you for your reply.
@Casper_duo, Yes, you would think so, even allowing for the fact that many course creators are regularly adding/editing their courses. I know I do! After all, they do update the ânumbers learningâ each course on a daily basis. I take a look at the ones on my profile page each day for the courses Iâm âteachingâ.
I guess itâs something to do with the size of the processing task that currently prevents more information being presented.
