How many words do you learn in a day?

When you start learn new language which contains for example 5000 or more words, how many words do you learn in a day?

I try to learn a few new words everyday for all the courses/languages I’m taking. My streaks are set to minimums but there are lots of different courses with great diversity

When I’m not busy, I tend to average around 45 new words per day on Memrise, spread across four languages. On any given day, I might learn 0-90… but the average is around 45. Like @Atikker, I’m currently keeping streaks going in over a dozen courses.

When starting a new language, I can handle about 15 new words per day in that language for the first few weeks. Once I’ve made some progress, learning new words isn’t as taxing, so learning more is possible.

I think it greatly depends on how much time you have, too - I currently revise 6.5k words, twice a day, and can really only absorb maybe 10 new entries a day without creating a spike and falling behind. The other constraint, of course, is how much new information you are able to add to your long term memory…

Currently I have one course set at the maximum goal and one course set at the mid. So apparently it’s supposed to be set at 45 new words per day, but of course because of reviews and such it’s going to be lower. I guess, I’d say 30 would be the average.

I don’t get how people able to learn 10-20 words in day.
I know no one polyglot but I don’t believe people can speak fluently with some 3000 words vocabulary if to learn 10 - 15 words in day.
With that slow method you will learn language about three year to get good vocabulary to speak fluently. I think 10000 words are very good to be fluent in foreign language.

the more languages you learn the easier it gets…words are so similar that you can make connections. (this of course goes to languages which share similar alphabet)

At the moment 10 kanji a day. Jusr reading, not writing. In the past I often tried to do more, but I couldn’t keep up with the repetitions, it was too much and it became frustrating.

20 words in day it is enough to learn It is necessary to concentricity on sentences instead of words it better

When I’m happy I learn approx. 75 words. Maybe one time a week. However in the most cases I learn 10 words.

210 a day in 3 hours.

I’m currently busy studying for college tests (and magically failing most of them), so I’ve just been reviewing old words most of the time. Or learn about 5 to 10 words if necessary to keep the streak going.
