How do you type "/" with Microsoft IME?

I’m following the Genki II course. In kanji lessons there is sometimes a “/” in answers, like “ぶつ/もの”

But if I type “/” on my German keyboard (Shift+7) it results in some kind of point, like that: ・

Does someone know how to type a normal slash?

Thanks.

Not really a solution, but you could try replacing it with a space.

As I think @RyouBakura was alluding to, the slash is supposed to mean that there are two different definitions present, so you should be able to just type one of the definitions, or type both but separate them with a semicolon (or possibly a space  )

Thank you both.
I also thought about space at first, but it wont work because with IME space is mapped to “convert” command, it will convert hiragana into kanji (so it will be wrong answer). Semicolon might work.

I found that numpad “/” works just fine.
