I downloaded the IME so i can use hiragana and katakana perfectly fine. But how do i use kanji

You mean to type in the answer? Just type it out as it’s pronounced, use the space bar finish the word and to move through multiple selections, then press enter or start to type in another word to confirm.
If you mean the drawing pad, it’s important to know stroke order to help the computer recognize the character you’re writing.
