How do I set English as my primary language?

I have all default (German-1, Spanish-1 etc.) courses in Russian, so If I was to study Memrise German course it would be German translated into Russian. Is there any way I could have the German words and sentences translated into English instead of Russian? Using VPN didn’t help. The said problem doesn’t occur if I’m studying non-Memrise courses, Icelandic flash cards for example.
