I just want to review a bunch of Arabic vocab I am not comfortable with yet.
Try using “Ignore” on all the words you are comfortable with. Then Speed Review them? (The one’s that aren’t ignored).
How do I ignore words?
Im not big on the speed review but if that works Id try it.
I am on android.
The “Speed review” code has been changed on the www.memrise.com web portal: Slow speed review
You can review up to 100 words (on the web) in one single session (I guess, in my last session I got “95” shown in the summary screen).
If you are very week with those words in a special course, it may help you when the timer bar is now working slower than before.
I still do not understand what you are trying to achieve.
Do you have a huge backlog queue which you want / need to clean?
Are there only a few words in the backlog queue for watering and you want to **over-**water several words in your course because the standard spaced repetition (SR) intervals are not enough for you?
Don’t you make many errors when you were quite weak in words so SR next intervals will be set to the 4h and 12h review SR intervals which you have to master later?
You can increase the “classic review” words count on the web portal (not on the mobile app) to 50 or 100: https://www.memrise.com/settings/learning/
AFAIK has the Android app a much lower words total which you can set.
If no words are in your course backlog queue for review (watering), this is no problem as you can start a “classic review” with the blue button up to 100 words (you may have to click on the “More” button and then “Classic review”) even no words count is shown in the parentheses (the text “(xx)” is missing).
If you do over-watering with the “classic reviews”, you can also use Cooljingle’s “all typing” user script and you can collect up to 150 points per word (depending on the words streak).
The “Speed review” on the web gives you only 25 points per word and it works in the multiple choice only mode.
Nowadays I use it again - on the web portal - to quickly jump through a 100 words set with multiple-choice, only when my backlog queue is ZERO (otherwise the next SR intervals are touched even I may not 100% be able to perfectly RECALL a word/phrase/sentence).
Any questions?
I dont know what you mean by the queue or over watering or slower down the timer.
I want to review a bunch of words I am unfamiliar with in one go. I want to see them in my native language and have to pick the Arabic. I dont want to see words I know. I figured out you could ignore words although the process is tedious.
For those reading. Go into your lesson list, click the lesson and hold the word. You should see the option to ignore.
