How "day-streak" is calculated

Hi all,
I do not understand how day streak is calculated. Every time I finish a course it goes back to 0, which is not really encouraging me to finish ‘as soon as possible’, rather to learn a couple of words per day… Is there any way to make it cover more courses?

I managed to do French 6 in less than a week, I had the highest score in the course, and out of nowhere this girls appear with a 150-day streak! How do you do that?! She had also learned less words than me and had twice my overall score…suppose that’s cheating?
Anyhow, any idea on how to keep the day-streak running is appreciated.

you cannot keep a day streak if you have completed the course, which I personally don’t like :worried:

I suggest to leave just one or two words at the end of the course unlearned. Then you can keep your streak - and getting your points by turbo reviewing the already learned words.

My exact thought…although it doesn’t make that much sense as it’s not
encouraging you to study as much as possible.

By turbo reviewing you mean speed review? I don’t usually get many points
from that :smiley:

Personally, don’t sweat a day streak for individual courses. Hell, don’t sweat it for your total courses. A guy that did 10 reviews a day for a week has a longer streak than a guy that did 300 reviews every day for 5 days and took the weekend off. Which would you rather be?

Yeah, sure - speed review, sorry. I use both the web and the app for learning. I can’t do speed review on the web, stresses me out … but works just fine on the app, seems a little slower there.
