I remember that a while ago we were able to use the hints (when we have to enter words or sentences manually) even after we started writing the said word or sentence.
Now we can only use hints if we haven’t written anything, which sucks.
Also, there are major issues with the streaks, they just don’t work right.

On Android everything is working fine here. @MemriseSupport & @JBorrego: are you aware of hint-problems with iOS?

We have not changed the functionality in a long time. But yes, this functionality is different on iOS/Android.
Android allows you to use hints regardless of the user input but iOS doesn’t.
I have raised this with the product team to see if it is something we could change.
