Since the last update, it’s been more difficult to submit my typed answers using the phone’s keyboard. In most of the cases (but, interestingly, not all of them), the button in the bottom right corner, which used to submit my answer, changed into another button which requires tapping several times before it finally submits the answer.
This it what it looks like:

And now I can finally tap the button for the third time and submit my answer. Sometimes, though, the third button is displayed at once and submits on the first tap. That’s also how it used to work until a few days ago.
Okay, I thought this was just my phone… This behaviour is very annoying. I cannot even use the keyboard to submit at all (tapping Enter several times still doesn’t work); the way I do it now is: (1) tap Enter on keyboard, (2) tap the input field itself, (3) tap Enter again; then it submits.
Interestingly this does not happen for the first word entered in a review session.
Mine still does this, and I think I’m on the most recent version.
I’m sure the developers figured that out meanwhile, but this has to do with the changes to how the typing field picks up your input (ie you now need to submit everything, the correct answer is not accepted automatically etc).
What happens is:
The first enter moves the focus from the text entry field to the on-screen keyboard element
The second enter moves the focus from the on-screen keyboard to the on-screen submit button at the bottom right
The third enter submits the entry you typed
Exact behaviour and labeling of the buttons varies depending on which keyboard you have installed
Well, I must admit that I’m on a different phone this week, but I am pretty sure it was still happening yesterday, then the app updated and this morning the bug did not appear.
