If it is available on the course you are learning you have to log out and in again to see the new icon.
Be aware that any downloaded courses will need to be downloaded again though.

The Italian 1 you are currently learning is English (US) speakers which doesn’t have mission available at the moment.
While the original Italian 1 course for English speakers does have mission available.

And whats the difference between the
Italian1 (us) and and italian 1 english besides not having the new missions?.
British and American English courses have a few differences in terms of spelling and vocabulary.
Your device language may be set to English (United States), which is why you were given Italian 1 for English (US).
