I wish to participate in the Memrise learning research, but am unable to do so because I am not 18 years of age. I assume this is because it consists partly of a raffle for an iPad, which would not be legal unless one is an adult.
Is there a way I can participate in the challenge, but opt out of the raffle?
I think it is not only about the raffle though.
If it is a scientific research they are doing, and maybe, just maybe they are planning on writing an article about it, then the volunteering participants must be over age (or have a parent or guardian give a consent, but that would make the whole thing a lot more complicated, I’d guess.)
