HELP, I have added 60 words to the course, and only 3 of them are being shown :(

Hello,

I have a problem and need your help :frowning:

We have created a course and about 60 words were added to it;

The Memrise shows all the words when I click on the course’s name,

But as I go to the “preview” section, or
click on the “learn these words” button; it shows ONLY 3 words in the course!!!

what’s wrong with it?!!!

You have more than one level. I am guessing the rest of the words are on the next level or some subsequent level. The 3 words (that you have circled in red) refer only to the words on level one. If you were only expecting one level you may have accidentally created multiple levels?

@avyva Thanks for your reply;
Yes I have 3 levels but the Memrise shows 3 words in the first level and none in the two others !

But as I click on each level from the level list (as you can see on this image):

all the words appear ! you can see some of them here in the image:

You probably added the words to the database only. But you need to create levels too. In the last screenshot in the top left corner you can see the number 15 and the button Create levels. Click on the button and follow the instructions. This will create 4 levels with 15 words in each.

If you want particular words in particular levels you should not add the words to the database, but create levels and add corresponding words directly to that levels. The words will be added to the database automatically, after you added them to the levels.

@skstudio Many thanks,
you’re right, I can now understand why it has happened,
yes, the words were added to the database only.

But is there any way to transfer the 60 words existing in the database, to the first level (because all of them belong to the first level) or I should copy them one by one to the level 1 ???

Before clicking on the Create levels button in the database, you can change the number of words per level from 15 to 60 (in the field left to the button Create levels). Then you click Create levels and it should create only one level with all 60 words.

@skstudio I really appreciate your assistance :relaxed:

The extra screenshots are very helpful in determining the problem. I see skstudio has beaten me to it and explained it very nicely so I shall just wish you the best in your future course creating goals :smiley:

@Z.Man Glad I could help. Just do not add further words to the database directly. Create levels and add new words to these levels instead. Good luck!

@z.man, I agree with @skstudio, that is the best thing to do.

“Create levels and add your new words to these levels.”

@avyva I wanted to post all the screenshots at first, but as I was a new member I could only attach one image in my first post,

Thank you anyway, and wish you the best too :slight_smile:
