Greetings all. It seems very strange to report this, but I just discovered that I can’t locate 2 of the courses that I created a long time ago.
They are not under either the “Teaching” or “Recently Learned” filter lists on my Home Page (I don’t use “Goal Set”) and I know I did not delete them (as I use them, as do many others).
They are also not found when searching under the “Courses” tab on the Home Page (under the Language/Chinese/Chinese (Traditional) category, but my other language courses are.
They are both Mandarin (Traditional) category type courses. They are “2015 TOCFL Vocabulary (Level II)” and “BoPoMo Is Easy”.
I tried searching for them via Firefox and Chrome; logged my laptop off/on; cleared cache; etc. They are nowhere to be found.
I use vanilla Memrise. Only one user script and that is simply to disable the timer on the web version.
Aside from contacting Memrise directly, does anyone know of a way to locate potentially “missing” courses ?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
@pdao For whatever peace of mind it gives you, they are both still visible to me on the “Courses/Teaching” page of your profile, both logged-on & logged-off.
@xvg11 ~ Thank you for this comment. As soon as @Arete_Hime gave me the links I went in and reviewed a word in each course and they appeared again in my teaching/learning pages on my profile. Prior to that review, they were both missing. Thank you both. My heart is beating somewhat easier now…
Have a great day (or night, depending on where you both are) !
By the way, for future reference, if you google for something with the phrase “site:memrise.com” in front of your search terms, it will restrict your search to pages that are on memrise.com, so for instance, you could search for “site:memrise.com 2015 TOCFL” and it would look just for results on memrise.com.
@neoncube ~ thank you very much for this info. My wife (a Google fanatic) told me the same thing after I posted my message and @Arete_Hime graciously provided me the two course links.
I am learning that a lot can be done thru various Google-based searches now (pertaining to Memrise). I never would have imagined. I only used to use Google for non-Memrise things.
