Help! How do I get rid of buttons on Free Response Questions?

I am using the computer version of Memrise. I’m not sure if there was an update of some sort, but now for what used to be “free response” questions where you would type, there are also buttons to click.
This is probably useful for someone who doesn’t have the keyboard if it’s a language like Korean, Japanese, etc… (it’s been in mobile version but you can disable it I believe) but I learn much better when I don’t have it to use as a “hint”. (I am now able to answer questions without learning a word or phrase properly; I can guess my way through and that’s not what I want)
How can I disable this feature so that typing questions don’t have buttons to click?
below is a picture

It’s not an update.

It looks and sounds like the course creator has activated the “in-browser keyboard” feature. It’s intended to assist learners when special characters are required and they either don’t have the full keyboard for that language or don’t know how to use the special character codes to call them up individually. I use it in some of my courses but only for accented letters.

I don’t believe it’s intended to operate in the same way as the ‘tapping tests’ in the app version by showing you all of the characters needed for an answer. Is the example you show the only one where that happens?

Only the course creator can activate and disable it but maybe you can contact him/her and ask for some changes.

Good luck!

@blackmkyra, You could also get rid of this with a userscript (or if you already have Adblock installed, it also has a feature for removing elements from the page).
