Memrise is often hanging at the “Loading reviewing session…” message when I try starting a review. I usually have to hit back and try again sometimes multiple times. This started a few days ago.
I noticed that too.
could just be your internet connection, i get it too
It doesn’t seem to be connection related for me. I keep Memrise open all the time as a pinned tab in Chrome and I’ve noticed it happens after memrise has been sitting idle. This never used to happen.
When it happens again could you please open up your browser console, you can do this by right clicking the page and click on 'Inspect". There is a column titled ‘console’.
Could you provide us a screenshot of your entire browser with the console shown.
Example:
Thank you.
So far today the problem has disappeared? Anyone else noticed this?
Thanks for the screenshot.
I add a yellow arrow to your screenshot.
Could you click on “Console” and send us another screenshot. This will display some error messages, which I can forward to the developers.
Could you both provide us the courses in your screenshot and also how to reproduce.
Thank you.
Edit: I’ve been informed by the developers that a couple of refresh of the page will fix this issue. However, they are working on a fix to eliminate this bug.
Could you try using a different browser?
Firefox works okay
We released a fix for this issue. Could you try again and tell us if you’re still experiencing this bug.
Thank you for your patience.
Still hanging. I’ll try it in incognito sometime today just incase an extension is causing the problem.
the same issue on my (private and open) chinese courses. I cannot review
edit: I cannot review, does not matter what course; only one allowed reviewing, after a wating time of almost one min/60 secs
One hour later, all courses seem blocked (firefox 49 private browsing)
Hi, we released another fix. Hopefully, this would put an end to this terrible mess.
Could you please tell us the result?
Thank you.
no results, I cannot review
edit: now memrise has integrated “cloudfare” script… i don’t know why adding scripts is considered a fix…
for the “noscript”/“ghostery”/adblocker/etc users, memrise works only if you allow now also the cloudfare script. This script adding should be made public
