Translation- there was no book in my room yesterday (is it correct?)
Why was accusative case of книга used in the sentence? I was thinking genitive case is used for не…Thank you in advance!
No it is not correct.
Yes, “не было” is used with genitive, the correct phrase would be “Книги не было в моей комнате”.
