Why is formatting so horribly limited?
- I can’t even add headers or list items to a multimedia level? Let alone something “advanced” like a table.
- I can’t even make text bold or use italics in entries in the database (but you can in mems - UX inconsistency)?
- And so on and so forth.
PLEASE GIVE US PROPER MARKDOWN SUPPORT!
Markdown is pretty much the standard nowadays on the web for allowing user formatting.
This would be a really simple change - a front-end change and nothing more, most likely. Unless the Memrise codebase is a huge mess, it would be a mere single line of JavaScript for each place that they wish for Markdown to be able to be used.
I love Memrise but there are so many glaring issues and oversights that make it awkward and irritating to use.
You’re really holding back course creators by withholding things like more advanced formatting capabilities.
