I have been using many of the Memrise German language word courses (I’m a MemrisePro user), and most specifically ‘5000 German Words (top 87%’. While appreciate that these word courses are put together by ‘experts’, from time to time I come across a word which I do not feel is critical to my level of German learning. However, even if I do not want to learn that word or focus on that word, I must go through the process in order to move forward in the course. It would be a good feature to allow the user (Pro users?) to delete or ‘hide/exclude’ words from a specific course. Then, they could be possibly reinstated one at a time or wholesale through some other setting.
That function already exists, actually!
You just use the “ignore” button. Click on an individual level in your course and in the top right-hand corner you will see “ignore”, then just click on the words you wish to ignore and you’re good to go!
I assume this is in the browser version… I use the iOS version exclusively, but can try the browser version for once…

I think that you can set it in the web version and then it should sync with the app.
The first thing you will see when you open a level will be this:
Click on that ignore button and then it will look like this:
Then you just go through the level and check the boxes next to the words you want to ignore. Easy peasy lemon squeezy
