[Feedback] I am not continuing pro because of the bad Android app

Hi there,

i am using memrise for a few years now and i used to love it.
But the (Android) app gets just worse with every update.
Since most pro features turned out to be useless my most loved one was “offline learning”.
But memrise can’t save offline courses to sd-card, which is really bad for cheap phones with small internal storage.
Also I can’t change the storage, so i would need to change the phones default storage settings - which requires a reboot.

I also miss the option to change the “I speak …”-option when searching for new courses. I understand English good enough to learn new languages based on English and I do that because there are not many courses for my language.

All this used to work and I loved memrise for that.

memrise is still the best option, but I am not going to pay for a continuously worsening app.

The web version for mobile phones also it’s no option, cause it’s even worse than the app to use.

Certainly a wish from me as well. And Off-line courses was for me also the decisive factor to buy Pro. Is it Android structure so difficult to access the SD-Card?

After the App update today, 26 September 2018, memrise got the offline feature working again!
I can download courses to SD-Card!
Nice birthday gift =)
I think I will continue Pro then…

I still hope searching for courses based on another language than the phone language will be possible again in the future.

offline feature works for me - sometimes. Sometimes when offline it takes so long to load i assume app has frozen; sometimes if device offline for more than four or five hours i go back and that day’s progress has been lost. (It’s also totally crazy that it uses device local time for counting the “day”, rather than simply doing “24 hour interval = day”, but that’s a different point).

I feel you pain too. The Android app keeps getting a worse and worse.

and now the price is going up as the app gets worse. Seems the people charging for an app that measures daily stats can’t even be bothered to check it can count to 24.
