I’d really like to be able to hide (and show again) the leaderboard when I’m viewing a course and when I’ve completed a learning/reviewing/etc. session. I do like seeing how much progress I’ve made in a week, month, and over all my time with the course, but I don’t want to have to see others’ scores at the same time.
This isn’t a priority feature, probably, but it’s very frustrating when I notice another user constantly one-upping me when I just want to work hard at the course without worrying about what others are doing.
(This is my first forum post, apologies if I’ve already committed a forum faux-pas or three. XP)
To be honest, I dont know if its a feature or if the Memrise team will add it if it isn’t one as they are usually on other matters. If you dont want to see the leader-board just ignore it. Dont get mad because people are ahead of you as i’m sure you’re doing really well. The people at the top spend hours per day getting to that point so you dont need to be at the top. On my quest for Korean, im still in third this week with 150,000 and between you and me, its bugging me too . But dont worry, I could ask the Admins to make it such a feature.@Lien @MemriseMatty@Joshua. I’ll set up a poll for you and others to vote on to see what other people think of this feature that could be added
The problem is, I’d like to be able to simply ignore it, but it’s very difficult because of my personality and the way the leaderboard is jammed in my face when I view a course and when I finish a session with the course. In any case–I’m fine with people being ahead of me, but the issue is there have been other users that I can tell are one-upping me, and it’s just plain aggravating.
But yes, a poll would be nice. : )
