[Feature Request] Streak Freeze

A feature that lets me stop for a day and still keep my completed daily streak would improve my experience with Memrise greatly.

I know some courses are shorter than others, some are community courses and some are official, inevitably active courses will have different daily streaks as you complete some, continue others and start new ones. A universal streak freeze might be difficult to implement, but man it’d be so helpful.

Streaks are huge for gamification and are a great motivator. Some days are too busy, some days you are too tired to practice languages. An option for an organized rest day would be great. It’s so much easier to get into practice after an organized break, instead of skipping months because of a lost hundred day streak.

I hope you don’t mind me bumping it. Losing streak because of holidays or weekends is very demoralizing.
Isn’t it better for Memrise as a service too, if a user is incentivized to visit website to click “freeze progress for today” each inactive day, instead of quitting for several months because of frustration.
I know it’s difficult to solve, because I also feel like a streak counting breaks is less meaningful than a strict every-damn-day streak. Maybe it could show you break days you took, so you can know your actual work day streak.
