Think thats been asked before. Not sure if it’ll become a feature
This is what pretty much frustrates me the most with Memrise - it seems that, no matter what we write on the forums, nobody from the Memrise team seems to be listening …
They do listen and respond occasionally (see the Ziggy Goodbye thread), but I’d wish they responded more, and it seems so do some others.
that was how memrise was until some… 3 years ago? when they deleted all those forum-link -on-page plus the old forum and replaced them with these discourse fora.
most users ran amok then, but the team did not give a damn… memrise changed completely focus then, moved from user content to “official courses”, which official courses - with the charitable help of the users -will have no mistakes soon. As such, direct links for posting errors (which wouldmake sense only on user provided courses) becomes meaningless for memrise.
Well, I’m doing (paid) French 1 & French 2 and there is heaps of room for improvement. It seems like nobody with any educational training has a hand in writing the courses. Even the basic functioning which is more like computer programming (If xx, Then xx processes) seems not to have been considered - case in point Grammarbots.
Thats the problem with Memrise currently. If anything goes wrong with a feature they’ll get rid of it. So they’re too scared to add anything new. What are they going to remove next. Mems???!
