Facebook group for Memrisers!

There has been a Facebook group dedicated to Memrisers (thanks @amanda-norrsken for operating the group for years). Unfortunately it hasn’t been quite active recently. I intend to revive it. Please click the link below to join the group and socialize with fellow Memrisers! Posting anything Memrise-related is welcomed.

I will avoid that if I can. I hope it stays inactive. Facebook is unavailable in many cases, which is really unfortunate, but in this case it seems that Facebook is very avoidable. As long as that group remains inactive, people will come here to the forums, or to reddit, instead.

I consider it preferable to have more platforms for the Memrise community. They may serve different functions. Facebook group to me is more casual than the official forum and Reddit.

My perception is that it’s actually the other way around: a Facebook group provides an opportunity to make (Facebook-) users aware that there is a forum here.
I’ve done that many times already, i. e. explaining to people with questions that there is this forum and how to get here.

It is interesting though as to how many Duolingo groups there are on Facebook, plus a forum with quite a lot of traffic.
While I avoid the Duolingo forums mostly due to the majority of (excuse me) stupid postings or “hey look, I have a [insert number] streak!” and also while there is a lot of that on Facebook, the discussions on Facebook are very often pretty good. So the FB-groups do seem to also be helpful without a forum like this one.
