Example sentence in course

Hi
I’d like to create a new couse (for example english - german)
I have a column “word in english” and a column “word in german” (created when creating the course)
Now I’d like to add a example sentence in english to an english word and a german example sentence to the german word.
The example sentence in english must be shown with the english word and the german example sentence with the german word.
Example:
Word in englisch
house
the house is big (example sentence)

Word in German
Haus
Das Haus ist gross, (example sentence)

(Don’t blame me for this silly example ;-))

I did not find the solution how to create this with columns / attributes… Of course the example sentence is just an information for the learner.
What’s the procedure ?

I am new to course creating, but I did it with adding a new column (Text) and edited it to be shown always.

This will not be possible under how Memrise works as a program.

The not so good way to “solve” it can be “accomplished” by adding another level… to test against the additional column. You can’t test against two different columns within the same course level. The notable exception (which makes it seem possible to new course creators) is Memrise can test against the target column AND also the audio column… and this is included as “an equal” in the Memrise algorithms when it generates 6 “questions” for every “answer” (a row in the database).

In my course here… you can see some examples using 2 non-audio “answer” columns, but this requires 2 different levels. Personally, I want 3 “answer” columns, but the idea of having to add a 3rd level for the same theme makes it less than practical (in other words, users will get annoyed having to go through 3 levels x 6 questions each) to add an additional “quality/aspect” to the original target word.

Also keep in mind, by adding an “example sentence”… the user will be prompted with the column headers as instructions. For example, below the question it will say… “(word in german) testing for (word in english)” as those are your column names… and they will be confused as to what you want them to do.

May I know what was the type of your course please!
