Why are the two course different? The UK course has more words and there aren’t any chatbots.

This is because, from time to time, Memrise renews the official course. The courses that appear on the web page of courses, are the current courses.
Since Memrise appears to be a UK based company, the UK English course version probably gets more attention than the US English ones, and therefore are released first.
The official Japanese course has 7 modules for the main languages (some languages, only 3). About a month ago, memrise added Japanese 0, and switched Japanese 1-2, only to British English. Over time, I believe this will be done for American English as well. So, at this time, the courses are different, but a month ago they were the same (respecting the particularities of each language).
I’m not Pro, so I can not test, but if the new Japanese Courses 0-2 for UK English speakers do not have chatbots, maybe they have not had time to implement yet.
