Edit or control course created by since deleted user

I have been studying in a couple of courses recently that use audio files with truly terrible pronunciation, and also don’t include some alternative spellings that are necessary for those with keyboard layouts that can’t type diacritic marks. The problem is that I can’t contact the course creator about it, because he/she has since deleted his/her account, and there seems to be no way to just edit things in the course.

I recall having a similar problem in a French course a few years ago (when Memrise was a bit smaller), and I contacted them about it and they told me that another user had since taken control of that course, and that I’d have to contact him about it. There seems to be no way to request administration of a course or make edits any more, and I suspect this may be due to people abusing this system. The problem is that Memrise is a much bigger company now and it’s difficult to contact them directly about it.

I really want to make this course much greater than it is already, and it’d be a shame to let those little things become a barrier to accurate learning.

Suggestions would be deeply appreciated.

The current procedure in these cases is to post a message in these forums, and include links to the specific course(s) that you would like to be added to as a contributor. At the end of the post, tag Lien from Memrise, by placing an @ symbol in front of her name, like this: @mecdumonde.

She will try to contact the course creator, or maintainer if there is one, for you, and if that doesn’t work, she can add you to the course(s) as a contributor.
