Has anyone else received an email with the subject A question for your, language learner, asking you to watch a tiny video by “Owen from Memrise” and answer a little question?
It seems to have been sent to a group of people in one shot (impersonal, undisclosed recipients), but at least VideoAsk.it seems to be genuine. The website’s source code looks OK too, no probable cause for something spam-related (or anything worse than that).
But it just doesn’t at all look like something official as I would expect it from Memrise.
@kevin5284: is this an official email from you guys?
Hi Olaf,
I have sent the email. Some time ago, you have signed up for our UX Research panel, to be invited to research opportunities, must have been a couple of months ago.
So, it was not a mass email, just a small group of people. I just picked people who might feel interested
Maybe you have forgotten that you have signed up for it, as I see that was the case with at least 5 other users.
The post must still be somewhere in the announcements about the sign up to our research sessions.
Cheers! I’ve just sent my response. It just looked so “non-Memrisish”. I suppose that VideoAsk is simply not providing any means of tailoring the message that you send to your recipients, otherwise I’d recommend that you at least throw in your logo or something like that.
For the record, It was first thing in the morning . Also you’ve got a @tag to summon me with as well. Which I encourage you to use, I can’t hand out info/updates like Kevin, but as User researcher i’m always listening (+watching). Cheers!
