I want to only use the real android keyboard for entry. The floating keyboard is giving too much of a hint. I can get the floating keyboard to come up, but there is no way to not see the floating letters that spell the word I need (plus one or two decoy letters).
Also, if I use the web version in mobile, to avoid this problem, the text box defaults to wanting everything in all caps, for every answer.
I don’t know if this works with the Android version of the app, but on the iOS version, you can switch to the regular keyboard.

I have the same problem. I am learning korean and the keyboard which is included in the android app always proposes eight different syllables. Most of the verbs and adjectives end with 하다 so that often you only have to choose between six different syllables. I used to learn with the app but recently using the website on a normal computer I realized that learning using the app is not really effective because of the included keyboard.
If you click on the keyboard icon at the top of the screen the normal android keyboard scrolls up but you can still see the included keyboard. I did not find a way to disable this included keyboard.
Adding an option to disable this keyboard would be really useful for a lot of people including me I think. Memrise team, please help us
