Decks new features

Hi,

I’ve just tried Decks on my desktops, and it looks almost like Memrise.

If you add these features, I will be paying for Decks (I know that it is free) or Memrise:

  1. Integration with Forvo or a similar kind of system so that I could add audio more easily

  2. Integration with Google Images, Unsplash or similar websites to add images faster. I remember that Memrise had this feature several years ago; however, it was changed.

  3. Uploading images as memes during a course creation.

I would love to create new courses, but the process is tedious and not worth investing my time. However, I will probably continue to study existing community courses.

Regarding the Decks interface, these changes would be nice to have:

  1. Please change the cream background to white because it is distracting.

  2. Please make the Next button as it is in Memrise. Now it visually separates the word from mem requiring additional time to process the word.

I’m just happy Memrise created Decks for custom courses so I don’t need any new features, myself, to burden them with testing and implementation. I could live without those features mentioned.

It really didn’t produce very good mems, sadly :frowning:

On the Swedish courses I curate, there are some words that have multiple mems all made with the same picture, which is just a waste of space and time.

There’s also the legal issue of using copyrighted material, images. So memes as a feature was good but legally doomed.

it wouldn’t be that hard to have this only search non copyrighted material. (Memrise, if you need help on this I can get this developed at a pretty low cost.)
