Database management

Hello.

A long time ago, I started creating my own course for Japanese where I put vocab as I progress through my textbooks and other stuff; I picked the common database, unknowing that it will cause me problems down the road as that one turns out to be rather buggy and messy.

Later on while transitioning books, I created a clean, new database to clean up a lot of the problems with the original one; it helped, but only for that part of the course.

Since my textbooks somewhat overlap (different publishers and all), I have double, and even triple entries on some words, and no easy way of cleaning them up. There’s no search that will search through multiple databases, and there’s no easy sorting of the entries either.

Is there any clean, neat way to merge my databases into one, and then clean up the multiple entries I have?

The problem that adds to the management difficulty is the fact I’m talking about currently 2600+ words with audio manually uploaded for them, and I add about 50 words every 2 weeks or so.

Thank you.
