There are two entries in Level 5 of Spanish(Spain)4 that confuse me:
“estudié dos meses en Japón” = “I studied in Japan for two months”
“vivieron en China durante ocho años” = “they lived in China for eight years”
Would it also be correct to say “estudié en Japón durante dos meses” and “vivieron ocho años en China”? If so can these be added as alternative answers, please?

la celda - cell
I always mistake it for another course where cell = “la célula” as a biological cell.
It would be good if the English description would be more specific (prison cell), or the la célula would be accepted.

I keep getting audio exercises while I can’t use phone speakers and there’s no way to opt out… usually there were a little speaker icon in the top right corner but not anymore. I just have to guess which one is right…

This is a bit confusing for someone who has started learning Spanish
There should be attributes label indicating formal you is wanted. Otherwise you learn that you speak = hablas and then your brain gets an error.
Could it be that you (Ud) or you (Uds) are used for formal you? or just (formal) at the end of sentence

In the Spanish course the translation for “to fill” is given as “rellenar”. I believe that “to fill” is “llenar”, and “rellenar” is “to refill”. Feel free to correct me if I am in error.
@ChrisGooden38 Generally correct, but also depends on the context. In Spain, completing a form, or entering data, uses the verb rellenar, which would then translate to English as “to fill”.
But refilling a water carafe would use rellenar and translate to English as “to refill”.

That’s pretty much the vibe I was picking up. Also “rellenar” seems to be used in the sense of “to top up” a container that has become depleted but is not yet empty. In that sense it is more “fill” than “refill”.
In Spanish (Spain) 3, I typed “en lugar de” for “instead of”. That was counted wrong. The answer given was “en vez de”. Aren’t both answers correct?

Hi. In Spanish 3 “toma ya” is translated to English as “sick” but I don’t think this phrase is related to feeling unwell. Could anyone explain what Memrise are on about? Thanks.

You are right. In that instance, it’s not anything to do with feeling unwell.
It’s relating to the modern slang term (note the exclamation marks around that entry and the heading of Level 27). These may help:

just got caught on the same thing because I’m used to not typing the diacritics (I have a script that usually puts them in for me), and the “¿tienes plan …?” version without the diacritics is not an alternative.
You could add it in as an alternative, however I think it’s useful to be tested on the plural form of the verb - perhaps add a (plural) to the english to clarify which one it’s asking for?
I have a question about ¿puede repetir eso, por favor? - I take it puede is the formal way ask; if I said puedes would that be ok too or would you always use puede? If puedes is valid it would be nice to add that in as an alternative.

While doing spanish 1 I saw that in level 7 there is something wrong.
It stands
nunca estamos cansados
with the translation
han är aldrig trött
(he is never tired)
I don´t know if this only is wrong if you have Swedish as your other language but I am pretty sure that
nunca estamos cansados does mean we are never tired and not he is never tired.

I have been having lots of trouble leraing the estar and ser words and gets really frustrated when I see that the translations for the whole level 7 is really bad done. You turns into them, he into we or we into he. Happy gets to be sleepy and no of thw words is actually right.
Is there some way to fix it, because I am thinking about stopping with memreise since it has so much wrong with level 7 in spanish 1.
