In level 75 there’s “Pienet lapset etsivät äitiänsä postitoimistosta”, but up to now “post office” was always “postikonttori”. I’ve added an alt with “postikonttorista” for now, but I’m letting you know, because maybe you’ll want to change it altogether. And I would like to know if there’s a difference between these two words.

I will fix it later in the week once the Independence Day celebrations are over. Konttori is definitely a better word. Toimisto is usually a place owned by a private company. Konttori is usually a place with a counter to serve people. Still, many people use them in both meanings. Just posti with no add-ons is also acceptable. Thank you!

I jumped ahead a bit so here’s a comment for Lesson 151:

Lisää jauhot seokseen vähitellen siivilällä
Sekoita voi vähitellen seokseen nuolijalla

Basically the same structure but different word order and the English versions both use the same order so they don’t help. Could you please either accept both word orders or reflect the required one in the prompt? Thanks.

OK. I added the alts to those sentences.

Just a small typo here, level 53:

“The little children will know it at half part eight”

Fixed. Thank you!

Here’s one more typo on the same level (53):
“At what time will he/she tell it tous?”

And a request for level 155:
"Jouluna syötte piparkakkuja - You will eat ginger snaps on Christmas"
Please put “You (plural)” in the English translation.

Sorry to butt in but, in English, we would say “You will eat ginger snaps at Christmas”.

Level 56 - aukio - square
Could you please specify that it means a place? I have square = neliö in another course and I’m sure I’d mix them up.

I’ve added (place). Hope that’s enough.

Thanks! That should be enough.

Hi, I have trouble with telling apart “työskennellä” and “tehdä työtä”. Both are translated as “to work” and both have “verb” as an attribute. Both are in level 82.

Hello, I would like to have audio tests turned on for this course (it has full audio, so it would be great to be able to use it fully). I’m afraid the course creator is not active any more, could someone from Memrise please enable it? @Lien?

I don’t really understand how these things work. I found out I can practise listening on mobile, but not on the web. Why?

Not all entries have audio so the Listening Skills mode wouldn’t work properly if we were to enable it for the course. I hope that makes sense?

Oh, that’s too bad. There must be just a few items missing, maybe the last lesson or so. Otherwise the course is great. Can’t there be anything done about it? I mean, if the mobile version works, why not the web?

Hi there! First of all, thank you for you efforts in creating this amazing course, I love to pair it with the slow finnish lessons! I have a question about level10: why “in Riga” is “Riiassa” instead of “Riikassa”? Is it another letter changing rule, just like “nk” that becomes “ng”?

Yes, it is mentioned in this lesson:

https://www.duolingo.com/comment/10659545

This part:

-k- between two vowels disappears. In a few exceptions, the -k- becomes -v-.

Thank you! I haven’t done that lesson yet, that why I missed it.
