Though it’s technically in progress, since the first 9 lessons dealing with verb conjugations are complete I’ve made it public and am advertising it. These are the practice questions for the popular JLPT prep series. Possession of the actual book is highly recommended. Answers required to be typed in so use of an IME is needed.
I’m actually really digging this course, it allows some much needed drilling practice on grammar points that don’t stick very well using the main courses. I’ve found some things funky so far though; it’s kinda random which words use kanji and which don’t. Also kinda weird when it wants two different forms for an answer, feels like they should be separated. So far it’s all things you can get used to though.
One error though is the first item on Level 2, it asks for the te-form of 読む, which should be 読んで, but right now it only accepts 飲んで.
Also, item 20 on Level 1 wants 待ってます as the honorific form of 待つ when I think it should be 待ちます, which is the same pattern as the rest of the items on that level.
I expect there to be a few typos since I was typing it up. If you want, I can add you as a contributor and you can add alternate entries as well. It’s something I was going to do when I got around to actually using the course.
As for the information I wanted to keep it to what the book gave, and as it’s N4 level they assume many words are known by their kana only. The only exception was lesson 3 where I requested two entries (in the book, it was “fill in the chart” with all four conjugations). Beyond that, it should be one word answers.
This course is finished. The final count is 58 lessons and 1100 questions. If you take this course, please utilize the plug-ins (no timer, auto-learn) and purchase the book. Also, please report any obvious typos here.
clearly not a course for beginners
It’s N4 which is basic grammar. Recommended for those that finishing Tae Kim or Genki II or equivalent.
