Here is a repost from the individual forum regarding a better font:
The default font for memrise is a little hard to read for the Kanji. I recommend using the Stylish (fixed) font from this link:
You can find guides online with a google search if you need help
installing this font for Firefox and Chrome but I found it very easy and
it required just a few clicks and installs via the site link above.
I’ve been using the default font for so long and this new font is 110% better!
Hi all. I just wanted to let everyone know that I’ve changed my user name and instead of icytwilight it will come up as Rin_Asami. 
pfs32, I agree that it would be helpful to also have the kanji shown and you must choose the correct English keyword. I’ve just updated the entire course to reflect the suggestion.
You will now see two versions of each lesson group. The first will prompt the English keyword and the second will prompt the Kanji.
